Job Description

As an Assistant Facilities Manager, you will participate on activities related to strategic facilities initiatives including construction planning and execution, as well as day to day operations management of EG’s Seattle headquarters facility as well as event management across Evil Geniuses. You will be responsible for creating a safe and efficient work environment for employees, talent, and office visitors including implementing plans and communication to ensure adherence to COVID-19 best practices and protocols.

This role will report to our SR. Facilities and Events Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Active participation on EG’s “Return to Work” efforts including facility buildout needs, partnership implementation, technology and streaming services, COVID protocols, and more
  • Creates and implements continuous improvement opportunities to drive a great work experience and enables optimized workplace productivity in an environment where “workplace” includes physical and remote locations
  • Implement and manage the operations, maintenance, and security of EG’s Seattle headquarters facility
    • Evaluate the opportunities and effectiveness of services needed for including custodial, life-safety, engineering, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security systems, and general maintenance
  • Obtain and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects
  • Manage vendor relationships and train vendors on work order and billing procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with property owners, managers, and vendors
  • Partner with the Technology team to ensure all IT needs are met for the facility including gaming connectivity, streaming infrastructure, and content production needs
  • Implementation of a safety/emergency preparedness and disaster recovery program and oversee all ongoing programs and communications relating to this including training staff on safety procedures
  • Ensure adherence to COVID-19 health and cleanliness protocols and recommend best practices
  • Act as a liaison between EG and facilities service providers to ensure timely delivery of critical company needs.
  • Monitor the use and inventory of equipment, food, maintenance supplies, etc. and initiate reordering when necessary
  • Project manage and help to coordinate events across Evil Geniuses including industry conferences, on premises events and internal culture events

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience
  • A dynamic self-starter, the successful candidate must also be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and interact with multiple internal and external customers simultaneously
  • Excellent business judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; proven ability to think outside of the box and innovate
